She detailed the emotional and physical abuse she faced, the challenges of caring for a newborn, and the pivotal moment that led her to leave the abusive relationship, ultimately seeking peace and support from her family.

In Episode 13, we meet Arik Stewart, former associate pastor and recent graduate of Denver Seminary.  Arik recounted his upbringing in a Christian family with a strong ministry background, noting that both sets of grandparents were pastors and his parents were involved in missions, particularly in Uganda. His first visit to Uganda at age 11 was pivotal in deepening his faith. He expressed enthusiasm about moving to Budapest, Hungary, with his wife Leah and their two daughters to continue his missionary work, emphasizing the importance of instilling similar values in his children. Arik also shared his family's extensive history in ministry and his desire to see others connect with scripture and experience personal transformation.
The conversation shifted to Arik's journey to Hungary, which began with prayer and reflection on their calling. They discovered a position that aligned with Leah's skills as a speech therapist, leading them to Budapest after consulting their placement coordinator. Arik also discussed his recent experiences with deliverance ministry at Reclamation Church in Denver, explaining its purpose in addressing spiritual issues. He shared personal anecdotes from church services and a conference, highlighting the significant shift in his and Leah's faith practices, which previously did not emphasize such ministries.
Angela and Arik explored the topic of spiritual gifts, discussing the lengthy process individuals often undergo to identify their abilities. Arik shared his gifts in evangelism and teaching, referencing the APEST acronym from Ephesians 4 and the book "5Q" by Alan Hirsch. They also touched on the importance of maintaining a structured approach to deliverance ministry and the need for discernment. The discussion included personal development, morning routines centered around spiritual reflection, and influential readings, with both expressing a desire to support each other's journeys and maintain connections despite upcoming changes.
