In Episode 22, we meet Amanda Hietter and learn of her long and winding journey of God's mercy!  Amanda shared her journey of faith, beginning with her acceptance of Christ at a young age, but noted a drift away from her beliefs during high school. This decline coincided with a rebellious phase, culminating in an unexpected pregnancy at 17. Despite initial struggles, including a tumultuous relationship with her son's father, Amanda's experiences shaped her perspective on faith and resilience. She detailed the emotional and physical abuse she faced, the challenges of caring for a newborn, and the pivotal moment that led her to leave the abusive relationship, ultimately seeking peace and support from her family.

The discussion also covered Amanda's experiences with substance abuse and the deterioration of her relationship with her ex-husband, which involved drug use and financial struggles. After moving back in with her parents, Amanda recognized the importance of boundaries and support in her recovery. She developed a stronger relationship with God during this time, participating in her son’s baptism and a mission trip to Panama.
